Styled Wedding Shoot: Behind the Scenes!

I thought it would be great to show a bit of "behind the scenes" from Sunday's Styled Wedding Shoot!  If you haven't had a chance to see the shoot up on the blog yet - you can check it out -> HERE!
My husband, Steve, was a huge help setting up in setting up the decor and styled shoot, but he also tagged along all day and managed to take some fun "behind the scenes" shots of the photographers who attended the shoot!
It was fantastic getting the chance to shoot with 12 other photographers... and I hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!
I managed to snap one shot back at Steve (my husband) when he was shooting all of us! (top left below)
Here's a post of our location... BIG THANKS to my parents in law for letting us "take over" their farm in Ladner.  And the two couples who modeled for us posing for one last shot of the day...
Here's a couple fun group photos we took at the end of the day!
Thank you to everyone who helped out for the shoot! Vendors, Sponsors, Models, and the attendees who made the afternoon a blast! I am amazed and love all the photos that everyone has been posting from the shoot - you are a creative bunch!!!

On the Farm Styled Wedding Shoot!

I’m super excited to post these photos!  I have been working and organizing a Styled Wedding Shoot for the past three months with friends, Alyssa and Melissa and the shoot day finally came!  This styled shoot was one of my first as designer and organizer, so it was fantastic finally seeing everything come together.   We opened up the shoot to allow 12 other photographers to attend.  A bunch of amazing vendors and sponsors came on board as well to help this shoot become a success.

Note: Make sure to check out the list of Vendors and Sponsors at the end of this post… everyone involved put a lot of work into the shoot and each of the sponsors donated amazing prizes for the attendees!

The morning started off with SUNSHINE!  (When you live in the Vancouver area, having sunshine is a huge deal!).  Our makeup artist, Elya and hairstylist, Nadine came out early to get the two ladies who were modeling as brides ready.
Both of our couples who modeled for the shoot were already married, so the ladies had a chance to relive their dresses again!  A big thank you to Trevor & Cassandra, and Luke & Lindsey, for voluntarily putting themselves in front of 15 photographers all afternoon!  I'm sure it felt like paparazzi with all the shutters going off! :)

Here's some behind the scenes photos of the ladies getting their makeup and hair done in the morning...

I had a chance to take some detail shots when we were setting up the final touches of the styled shoot in the barn and took these shots of the gorgeous bouquets from Enchanted Harvest Floral & Decor.  They suited the style and shoot perfectly!
For the afternoon we split into 2 groups, so I knew as an organizer that I would be sticking with Luke & Lindsey for most of the shoot... (so I will have a lot more photos of them in this post!).  But I did get a chance to work with Trevor and Cassandra before things started off!  These two are gorgeous. Trevor rented his tux just for the shoot and Cassandra wore her wedding dress again!
After lunch, all of the photographers arrived and we were able to meet everyone and start the shoot!  The styled table and decor was set up primarily inside the barn. A BIG THANK YOU to my husband, Steve for helping put up the lights, driving over tables & chairs, putting together signs and even making the wooden crates, seating chart frame and more!  Over the past couple of months I constantly printed off ideas from Etsy and Pinterest for him and he ended up making some of the pieces for the decor!
Here is where you meet the next couple, Luke & Lindsey!  They were great sports and posed with the styled table and props.

The day ended off fabulous and some of our attendees walked away with some fabulous draw prizes!  Thank you to all the sponsors who donated amazing prizes, discount codes and more for the attendees.

It was great shooting with a fabulous group of photographers and I love seeing everyone's photos from the day.
